Shame on them, or shame on us at this point?
Shame on those bad ol' crazy republicans and their awful war, they should be ashamed of themselves, stealing from us, lying to us, taking advantage of our good natures, shame shame shame on them for being so nasty.

Or is it us who should be ashamed for letting it get this bad, right before our stunned eyes, shame on us for not stopping them before its too late, which it is now.

Who should bear the greater shame at this stage of the game?

Is what you are saying, and there is some truth to it. 2000 was their shame and 2004 was ours.
