I should be able to remember, but wasn't Peter Werbe fired at one point and Mike Malloy kept on, and Mike did not say a whole lot about it on the air immediately afterward, but said then that he believed it was financial? Have I got this halfway correct? I think they are good friends, after all Peter is subbing at Mike's request (and has at other times before). Peter only has a one night a week gig in Detroit now, I think.

Greater Media owns WRIF, where he hosts his show. They also have other stations that he does stuff on.

I've heard his show, and I think he's pretty good. Not sure if he even wants a shift with AAR. He's better than most of their hosts.

7. Yup - that's my recollection

Peter lost his job for saying things about the administration that were over the top. Stuff like how the reasons for the war were a lie right at the beginning of the war drums beating. Peter got canned, Mike kept on. I don't think Mike would expect Peter to cut his own throat. They help each other as they can. The radio biz can be very harsh.

conciliatory to power..for instance he wont mention his regular station call letters when people call in and ask him where they can catch him in Detroit. What a chicken. I also don't think he challenges the conservative callers enough...not like Mike Malloy that's for sure.

I'm SUPER PISSED about Malloy benig fired, but please, use your god damned brains. I've been here raging all day abuot AAR for firnig Mike, but this is not the way to do it. Leave Werbe out of it.

Do you realize the place AAR put Werbe in, doing this to him?

He is supposed to fill in for his friend, Mike, for a week while Mike fills in for Randy. Then on the 2nd day of teh week they fire Mike and leave Werbe there in the spotlight.

Don't freak out on Werbe. Freak out on the AAR suits that put him in the middle of this fucked up situation
