Why, oh why, does every airport have its TVs tuned to Fox News
Yes, I know, Fox pays to have the propoganda boxes installed - but here I am at the Eugene, Oregon - liberal capital of Oregon - and I have to listen the RW hate-vomit from the box over my head.

2. Because one last dose of fear before boarding a plane keeps the
gop in "charge."

13. I think it makes everyone rush to board their respective planes.
That's where the barf bags are. So it's a public service.

3. Most of the airports I travel through are tuned to CNN.
Of course, in Atlanta that's not a surprise. But the same is true for Chicago O'Hare, Cincinnati, and Dallas. I'm not a big CNN fan, but compared to Faux News, CNN is positively moderate! A little too apt to promote the missing blond woman stories, but moderate none the less.

18. Same here. I can't think of an airport I've been through that has Fox.

9. I usually ask them to turn the channel to something else
even if it's one of the gardening channels when I'm subjected to Fox usually in a hospital waiting room. I don't know about the airport though. You could ask.

10. My son's high school does too
I have a little device that hangs on my key chain that turns off most tv's, or when I can actually reach the tv I walk over and turn it off.

I did complain to the principal about it and his reply was that some tv's are tuned to liberal CNN. I informed him the CNN isn't liberal. I also contacted the school board and complained about staff watching tv instead of working - a radio is one thing but a tv set in every office?

19. i always write to complain
obviously i can't boycott an airport but i can and do boycott stores and restaurants an i tell them why. i have not forgiven Macy's for blaring FOX in its women's dressing room areas.

the rw never hesitates to complain. i'm sure they're gearing up their ' war on christmas' campaign/boycotts even as we speak.

21. If FOX News wasn't playing in so many airports, people there couldn't have
caught Richard Simmons' and Don King's invaluable contributions on Hurricane Katrina's anniversary.

If that wasn't state-of-the-art tv, I don't by god know what is.
