his president, he doesn't support his president, he thinks Bush has a plan, he thinks Bush lied about the war...which will it be tomorrow?

Bush and his psychotic behaviors have been enabled by the republican party, and between the lot of them they have destroyed the civil/free world with a handful of lies & crony no-bid contracts...there is nothing left over which to wobble

16. Oooh-cruel.
In point of fact, my opinion of McCain took a beating when he was found in the criminal bed with the S&L scandal/Keating Five debacle in the '80s and has never recovered.

I was not unhappy to see Gore run away from Clinton in 2000, and I vaguely knew the history of Booosh's amazing and horrifying record with death penalty reviews, making McCain appear to be a pretty good alternative and being unaware, as I was, of the neoclown scheme to turn America into a fascist empire.

McCain really does have a weirdness and a not so well hidden mean, vindictive streak. He, imho, is crazy as a bedbug and has every intention of dieing in office--as potus.

McCains day is done. Break his heart and put him out to pasture without another shot, even in vain, at the white house.

2. And they had the nerve to call John Kerry a flip-flopper????
Where are all these idiots carrying around their flip-flops like they did for Kerry? John McCain is nothing but a two-faced liar. But all you can hear is "how respected" he is. What a crock of cow manure.

5. McCain is just licking it off the floor these days, still enthralled with
Dubya's ability to hold power.

McCain knows Dubya is a vacuous fool. McCain knows Gore won. McCain knows Kerry won. McCain wants Dubya's bag of tricks so McCain can be President. Nevermind that the nation would have been a far healthier and more humane place to live under Gore or Kerry.

Kerry asked McCain to be on the ticket in 04. McCain refused him.

Seeing him in some of those earlier interviews, you wanted to like John McCain. But after seeing him choose his own ambitions over the good of the country, and shilling for a fool like Bush, I got no kind words for McCain.

8. i think that's right, i see his forays onto The Daily Show as a carpet...
bagger kind of dog & pony show, specious at the very best; he knows the score, and will not break a tie even for the eternal soul of this country imo

maybe he's just glad most of that Keating 5 shit is so far behind him now, and some people still think he's a witty comedian in a suit

12. Absolutely. That's spot-on, and McCain better hope that he never
has to actually defend his position on Bush's foreign policy in a responsible forum.

The Keating 5. Bingo.

Bridgit, hello to you. Nice bumping into you tonight on DU.

6. He's a "rebel". He's a "maverick".
Why, just a few months ago, when he had his nose buried in Jerry Falwell's asscrack, he was heard to hum "born to be wiiiiiiiild!"

10. McCains too old! Really, that's why Cheney got the puppet
Bush, he could not get elected with his health. I think McCain, doesn't appeal to many people anymore, I actually (didn't know much about him), thought he might've been good with Kerry, but now, he's like a joke.
