Most Think Truth Was Stretched to Justify Iraq War
13-Feb-04
Bush polls

"A majority of Americans believe President Bush either lied or deliberately exaggerated evidence that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction in order to justify war, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. The survey results, which also show declining support for the war in Iraq and for Bush's leadership in general, indicate the public is increasingly questioning the president's truthfulness -- a concern for Bush's political advisers as his reelection bid gets underway. Barely half -- 52 percent -- now believe Bush is 'honest and trustworthy,' down 7 percentage points since late October and his worst showing since the question was first asked, in March 1999. At his best, in the summer of 2002, Bush was viewed as honest by 71 percent. The survey found that nearly seven in 10 think Bush 'honestly believed' Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Even so, 54 percent thought Bush exaggerated or lied about prewar intelligence." More...

"At his best, in the summer of 2002, Bush was viewed as honest by 71 percent." I wonder how many people still TRUST Bush?

2. The fools never want to admit they were fooled...
but they really get pissed at the ones who fooled them, instead of EVER blaming themselves for being so foolish.

U.S. Public Widely Distrusts Its Leaders

Lichtman/Zogby Interactive poll: Gov’t., corporate scandals damage public trust in institutions at the bedrock of society.

As an increasing volume of news about political and corporate leaders comes out of investigations and federal courthouses instead of boardrooms and Capitol Hill hearing rooms, a new Lichtman/Zogby Interactive poll confirms Americans are distrustful of leaders across the societal spectrum.

Three out of four (75%) said they trust government less than they did five years ago, just 5% said they think corporations do right by the consumers they are in business to serve, and only 25% feel the reporting is fair and accurate in the newspapers they read or the nightly broadcast network news they watch on television. Nearly 60% said they believe the “state of honesty in America” today is in poor shape (18% said it is in the worst possible shape).

The poll was commissioned by author and ethics specialist Jim Lichtman. His latest book, What Do You Stand For?, is now available.

Overall, just 3% said they think Congress in general is trustworthy, compared to 24% who said President Bush is trustworthy and 29% who said they can put their faith in the national court system, the survey shows. Corporate leaders in America are nearly as widely distrusted as Congress – just 7% said they are trustworthy. MORE...

of our Drug Damaged Society....Cocaine and Ice have drastic effects on the brain with long term abuse. The Collective power of Addled Brains is one explanation of Bushies Presence in the Oval Office. Them Pubs show signs of Addled Brains due to sniffing some strong shit. Delving into Fantasy, Deciet, Distortion, Rationalization....are just a few of the signs...

The Pubs are DRUNK with POWER....Now they show signs of being (DRUNK< LOADED < and DAMAGED)

And that includes the Chimp himself...

Warriors who are too chicken to go to war, should forget about planning wars for our kids.

The wimps were too wimpy when it was their turn to fight, so they are ignorant about warfare. All they know about war, is what John Wayne told them and he was a Chickenhawk too.

Their best defense is to lie! That and stealing is the only things they're good at!
