1. Our side is so diabolically clever that we can make repuke candidates...
...use racial slurs--and in public, no less. Aren't we something? :sarcasm:

5. blame everyone else
is the mantra of the current republican leadership. i'm surprised allen's campaign manager didn't find a way to blame clinton, or suggest that knocking allen was helping the terrorists.

6. Funny, they're always pushing "personal responsibility"
must apply to everyone but themselves.

7. He's fairly astute, Bill isn't running, otherwise it would be all about
Bill. Instead this time it's about all those big bad liberal gay bomb plotting Washington Post reporters.

9. Good.. I hope he loses.. Too many racists still around
They have relegated the white hoods to the back of the closet, but they still revel in the sly "oops did I say that" type of racism..and it's realy worse.

At least when they wore the white sheets & hoods, they were recognizable..These days they are sneaky...

10. FYI, This isn't the first time Allen has
had to publically apologize for racist remarks. I'll bet he has a real sense of deja vu remembering the apology he offered over the Palos Verdes High PA the morning after he scrawled racist graffiti on the school walls and was caught. That was 36 years ago. Once a racist asshole, always a racist asshole.

11. re: the apology
JABBS had an earlier post, which received a decent number of DU responses, suggesting that if you break down what Allen said, he didn't so much apologize as suggest that those he offended were wrong to be offended.

12. I know it was more of a non-apology apology
offered solely because he had to say something. He's not sorry he said it - only that he was stupid enough to be filmed saying it. Guys like Allen never fully take responsibility for anything and they never change.

13. Sure. Allen's, nurtured at the knees of his mother, racism
is a "liberal" conspiracy and not the product of his accepting, without question, the racist teachings of his childhood.

Sure. OK.

And Bush never lies.

14. The footage of Cement-Head's comments gives Virginia voters a
glimpse of an arrogant bully.

The substance was definitely an ethnic/racial slur, IMO, but the style was taunting and intimidating, an attempt to publicly humiliate someone who wasn't doing anything wrong.

I hope Allen's numbers drop fast and long. Webb's by far the better man.

16. Allen and his campaign manager would be wise to STFU....
last night Allen appeared on a Washington DC local news station in an exclusive interview with Gordon Peterson. He again claimed that he had no idea what "macaca" meant. He claimed that he was aiming his comments at his opponent, not to the young man in question. The lies were so transparent, and he continues to insult the intelligence of his constituents.

Then this morning in the Washington Post his campaign manager is quoted as saying that this whole affair is basically the fault of the press and that they have unfairly "vilified" Allen more than any other candidate in recent history.

:nopity:

By the way, the Chimpface in Chief will appear at a fundraiser tonight with Felix cacabrains Allen at the home of Ed Gillespie. That sucking sound you hear tonight is the result of all those blowhards in one room.
