The latest strategy from the right-wing pews.
In the local paper there's a huge photo of a smiling church lady (minus back molars) putting up a billboard sign that's so common to Florida. The sign she's putting up states, "Frustrate your Enemy, make him your friend."

That set off a stream of conscience. What would it take to make a Republican a friend of mine? Especially one that belongs to one of these churches that turned the tide to the Right? The first things that popped into my head was, "Not a chance. No way would I allow a sugary sweet church Republican try to talk me into forgiving what they did, because nothing will change. The churches sit in the middle of the mud pile, acting like they can benefit from both sides of the pendulum. They Right-wingers followed their policies to the "t." And now that the tide is changing, they're going to try to ride shotgun and take over a leadership position by reminding us that it's our Christian duty to forgive.

F**k that.

I'm sick and tired of the role that local churches have been playing in this country. Think about it for a minute. Think about where these American tycoons go after they've bilked employee pensions, manipulated hedge funds, abused their public positions for profit. They go to their churches. They donate graciously and everyone in the community who benefits from the generosity thinks they are the pillars of success. Milken did it in a big way. It's a pattern that is so obvious that the "V" movie used it for their main villain.

The bottomline is, that the churches have a sweet deal. There are so many corrupt people in this country looking for peace of mind and forgiveness for the greed and corruption and damage they've caused, that it must be a profitable market to be a church in a Republican county these days.

So I say to those churches, you want my forgiveness? Tell those bastards to give BACK WHAT THEY STOLE TO THE PEOPLE THEY STOLE IT FROM. STOP BEING ENABLERS TO A CRIME, STOP BEING ACCOMPLICES.

We only have two kinds of people to fear in the world. The needy and the greedy, and the greedy create the needy.
