1. Richard Nixon in a heartbeat
I would also take Ronald Reagan over Bush.

Bush makes both of them look good.

3. At least with Nixon, we had some competence with the corruption

5. His "competence" landed a bunch of his hit-men in jail.
Not nearly as many as deserved it. I'm still waiting for Kissinger's appearance in the dock for war crimes.

Not to miss your point, as Boobya is certainly one of the best examples of my tagline, if not the best. Tho' Reagan also fit the description. Nixon was a "competent" in the same way that Al Capone was "competent" or Hitler was "efficient".

4. both awful - but the conservative movement is so far ahead
of where it was in the 1970's - this is why bush is so bad. he has entire network of movement nutcases who will protect him in all his corruption and incompetence. nixon did not have this. as has been pointed out before if w-gate happened today nixon would never have been forced out. bush has already had 2 or 3 watergate's.

6. I pass. Neither one.

But at least Tricky Dick had a modicum of intelligence.

Can't say that for Shit-for-Brains.

7. Doesn't make a lot of difference really....
The same bunch of assholes were behind both of them. Of course Nixon WAS actually elected. And he did start the EPA, so at least he gave a damn about the planet.

Hell, right now Reagan's maggot infested corpse would probably be better than Dipshit George.
