3. What, did they pull out the bottled water they had smuggled onboard?
Started to comb in some hair gel? Have the terminity to put on some deodorant?

FEAR, FEAR, FEAR!

Just another reason I'm not going to be flying anywhere unless absolutely, positively neccessary, like I'm going overseas. And even then I might just take a boat.

No threat to the aircraft. A lady was anxious and distraught and got into a confrontation with two other passengers. I love how they just make shit up.

26. Fighter escort?? Would this scenario work for the fearmongers?
...A passenger jet is shot down by US fighter jet over the ocean on the basis of a reported liquid bomb threat on board. Would that get the fear factor up?? It would leave very little evidence to prove or disprove the claimed bomb aboard.

We are headed into dangerous territory here.

36. She didn't - was just some airport "hero" making "news"
.
.
.

The flight was diverted due to the behaviour of one unruly woman, the Department of Homeland Security said.

An airport spokesman was quoted as saying she was carrying a screwdriver, matches, Vaseline and a note referring to al-Qaeda - but this was subsequently denied.

35. Nope, she didn't - that's just terra terra terra talk
.
.
.

There was no indication of terrorism, a federal security official said.

A Transportation Safety Administration official denied reports that the woman had a screwdriver, matches, Vaseline and a letter referencing al-Qaida.

The female passenger aboard United Flight 923 said she was claustrophobic and became very upset and got into some kind of confrontation with the flight crew, said George Naccara, federal security director for the Transportation Security Administration for Massachusetts' airport.

BOSTON - A flight from London to Washington, D.C. was diverted to Boston Wednesday morning after the pilot declared an emergency because of a passenger disturbance, the airline said.

United Flight 923 with 182 passengers and 12 crew members landed safely at Boston's Logan International Airport, United spokesman Brandon Borrman said.

A Logan spokesman said three passengers had a confrontation with the flight crew. State Police took control of the plane after it landed. All the passengers were being taken off the plane and their carry-on luggage was being checked, said spokesman Phil Orlandella.

"I don't know what she had on board with her, but we have been told she did not have a screw driver, she did not have any liquids such as vaseline, and any notebook she may have had, it did not contain an al-Qaida reference," Naccara said. "This is still playing out, of course."

38. Why are they inspecting everyone's baggage on the tarmac?

That's the CNN pic of "authorities" inspecting all the luggage from the flight, spread out on the tarmac.

Over a claustrophobic passenger who went a little stir-crazy? And who did NOT have a screwdriver, vaseline OR an "al-Qaeda" note (early reports were wrong).

This is just massive, massive B.S.

More scare tactics -- "the GOP will keep you safe" b.s."

UGH.

41. She was claustrophobic - not a terrorist!
BOSTON - Fighter jets escorted a London-to-Washington, D.C., flight to Boston’s Logan airport Wednesday after the pilot declared an emergency because an apparently claustrophobic passenger caused a disturbance, a federal official said.

The federal security official told NBC News there was no indication of terrorism and denied reports that the woman had a screw driver, matches and a note referring to al-Qaida.

The female passenger, 60, aboard United Flight 923 said she was claustrophobic and became very upset and got into some kind of confrontation with the flight crew, said George Naccara, federal security director for the Transportation Security Administration for Massachusetts’ airport.
