I'm meeting Howard Dean tomorrow, I can't WAIT!
I live in Rapid City, SD, and the Pennington County Dems are bringing Howard Dean to a downtown hotel tomorrow night; there'll be a benefit dessert reception and then a public reception right afterwards, in the same room. I would love to attend the benefit dessert reception, but I haven't decided yet whether or not I can spare the fifty bucks it would cost (I'm being laid off as of August 30, and need to be really careful with money now), but even if I don't, the public reception will also offer one-on-one opportunities with the good doctor and I cannot WAIT! I've been wanting to meet him for over two years now.

Is there anything you smart-asses want me to say or ask him? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

1. Tell him that he's the best Chair our party has had in my lifetime.
50 State Strategy!

Giving the Dems backbone to stand proud and fearless.

I love the guy!

the best chair we've ever had in my lifetime, and I'll be sure to give him that encouragement.

8. I will definitely tell him that, although I think he
already knows that. Reinforcements and encouragement sure wouldn't hurt, though!

5. Tell him to make sure there are enough voting machines in 2006...
...not like 2004 where people in Ohio in Democratic areas had to stand in line for hours to vote.

6. I see the GOP in your state is having a hissy fit...don't want him there.
I did a post about it earlier today. They act like he has no right to go to SD. Hope you really enjoy the day. Did you see his speech on C-Span tonight? It was great.

They don't want him coming to their state. They are like little children who are not getting their way all the time. Let's see, over 400 in ND last week gave him a huge welcome, so maybe they are afraid he might get welcomed there in SD as well.

Brats having a temper tantrum."

14. SIGH. Yes, I know, the SD GOP has
been taken over by hateful extremists, who are driving out the moderates and anyone who dares to deviate even slightly from the extremist line. What the hell do they care who we bring to the state to speak for OUR group? What the fuck business is it of theirs? And can you just imagine the hissy fit they'd have if we protested their bringing Cheney or any other RW nutball to the state? ( we wouldn't, because they'd have the right to do that if they wanted).

24. Oh, they can go to hell for all we care,
let the big fascist babies have their temper tantrums. They're dragging this state down, just like they're doing to my home state, Ohio. Fortunately, many moderate repubs in the state are really disgusted and are letting them have it.

7. Tell Him That I Said The Following:
Next time a GOP politician scumbag brings up your scream, respond by saying "You can continue focusing on my scream of joy if you so choose. But I will continue to focus on the screams of agony from our brave sons and daughters fighting in Iraq, the innocent Iraqi civilians, and the working class families at home that can't feed their children all due to the horrendous policies of the republican leadership and administration.

9. Lucky YOU! Respect from me, and I do have a question, though
it might take too long to explain. What's up with Dean and Rahm Emmanuel? Do they have a plan for resolving their differences so Dems don't look so fractured?

12. Please ask him
to run parallel elections in key Congressional races - do whatever he can do to prevent another theft - please please please

By every indication the November election should be a blood bath for the repunks - but I really think it won't be because of these damn machines - Dean and the Dems have to do something to make sure this theft does not happen.....

business or concern and they have no room to talk with the stupid dirty tricks Herseth's repuke opponent and his equally idiotic campaign manager is playing on her.

in public to bush/the GOP. And all its derivatives: LYING, LIARS, LIED, LIES, and so forth.

channel Al Franken's Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them? (loved that book, btw, I wonder if Dean's ever read it).
