Sy Hersh says that Israel & the Neocons designed this war in Lebanon as a trial run for an invasion of Iran.

Boy - I can't help but to compare Bush to Hitler and the Neocons to the Nazi's. Just as Spain & the Spanish Civil War was a test run for the fascists in WWII, the war in Lebanon is a test run for the bigger war in Iran.

WE HAVE TO STOP OUR GOVERNMENT FROM CONTINUING IN THIS FASHION! HISTORY DOES REPEAT ITSELF!

I heard him say that Cheney's office was planning to attack Iran next year - and that they were eager to see this conflict as a success against underground bunkers.

Your version makes it sound like Israel is planning to join the US invading Iran. Hersh didn't say that.

3. Please Cut This Out

The Israelis are not fascists. They have had thousands of missiles launched at their civilians by a growing foe that has sworn to destroy Israel, and murder every Jew in the world. Israel's attack on Hezbollah is justified and sensible.

They would not have pulled out of Lebanon in the past if they were truly bent on taking over that country, nor would they have agreed to withdraw now.

Sorry Manny, but when Israel pulled out of Lebanon before it was different times with different players. The hands of Hezbollah and all the other terrorists groups are not clean by a long shot, but neither are the hands of the US, UK or Israel. And this hatred between peoples will never stop until there is world leadership that can say "stop" and make it stick. This constant going back decades if not centuries is getting us no where and it's always the innocent people of every country who pay the price for these turf wars. My dream is that "we the people" all the people stand up and say "enough" and take their "toys" that kill away from them.
