Are You "Shaken" Re: Terrorist Plot ???
Just now watching the western edition of NBC Nightly News. Campbell Brown refers to the "Terrorist plot that has Americans shaken."

Just wondering.

I'm curiously NOT shaken.

Matter of fact, because of the ineptitude of the current administration, and the current leadership in congress, I, (and I'm sure many of you) saw this coming miles away!

...but that's because I've just spent the past twenty minutes sitting on top of my washing machine, waiting for the spin cycle to end.

Regarding the latest terror fantasy, nope.

7. No. What's sad is that I'm so jaundiced by this shit that my first
reaction, ALWAYS, by now, is to be suspicious and skeptical of our government's motives.

ALWAYS ask yourself - who benefits from stirring up all this alleged hysteria?

Our government has such a long and powerful track record of lying (shit, about the only thing they HAVEN'T lied about is a blowjob) that I find it difficult to accept ANYTHING they say at face value.

That they have to politicize this absolute nothing story and inconvenience everyone to try and score some terror points. It's disgusting and disgraceful.

14. Another terror alert
Wow, still shakin' in my boots. More political bullcrap from the neocons.

Yes, be afraid. Be very afraid. That's exactly how they want you to react. It's much easier for these scumbags to take away your rights that way.

Quote from Larry Johnson ... "How much stupidity must we endure from the Bush Administration? How much farther up their a-- can they stick their heads? Binary explosives, and their ready availability, have been a fact since World War II. And we're supposed to believe that George Bush, Tony Blair, and Michael Chertoff have just awakened to this fact? At a minimum, this is a further indictment of the incompetence of Bush and his cronies. They have done NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING to deal with this threat even though security professionals have known and fretted about this for years."

"It's also interesting to see who those thus far arrested are not.

Not Iranians

Not Syrians

Not Hamas

Not Hesbollah

Not Iraqis

So who were they? British citizens and others with strong connections to Pakistan."

Pakistan, our (US & UK) supposed "ally" in the so-called "war on terror".

15. Five years ago I said, "Just watch out for all the foiled plots we're
going to see now." Can't have another 9-11, because that would mean they failed to protect us, so the alternative is lots of foiled plots.

I don't know if they're real or not, but I do know they serve the administration's agenda: keep us all scared of terrists.

16. Not really
Of course most Americans are shaken. They're being told that the only thing keeping their plane from blowing up and killing them all is the trash can holding everyone's perfume and bottled water.

19. No, I'm not shaken; Bush & Cheney scare me more
It's hard to work up too much interest in something that the republicans are using to up their ante in
their contributions to the republican party. Terror talk is all they have; and it's so downright funny
whenever I get this mental picture of the pretend Crawford cowboy. and the fat old vice president,
hiding out, except for going to their money raising rallies; and then try to trick us into believing they are "PROTECTING US", and I laugh out loud. I'd feel safer being guarded by my terrier dog.

24. I refuse to live in fear
but I also refuse to live in denial.

We are more a target and more at risk because of the current administration and its policies, but I don't believe one day is any more dangerous than the next.

They are all EQUALLY dangerous.

Over and over, the 911 experts say we are weak everywhere. Bush has hired all his slacker buddies to fill Homeland Security and they're doing what all good neo-cons do: no work while collecting vast sums of public money.

Stealing, basically. And neglecting their duties to this nation.

So yes, we are more at risk than ever, but no, I'm not shaken up by this knowledge. I'm more awed by the complete ineptness of the Bush Regime. I have never seen pathetic and lazy like that bunch.

Creating chaos is the name of their game.
