Remember this guy?

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, supposedly the mastermind behind every Al Qaeda plot up to 9/11.

I think it's very interesting you don't hear much about him anymore. He's supposedly in U.S. custody, but nobody knows where. Why hasn't his ass been put on trial? Me thinks nobody wants him talking publicly.

1. I heard about him a few months ago on NPR...
The reason he hasn't been put on trial is because he is being tortured for intelligence. If we were to put him on trial, any lawyer worth a damn could get a mistrial.

This is why the Moussouai trial was so important. We needed a scapegoat and a public distraction from guys like KSM. Same thing with this guy:

2. If they're still torturing the dude...
and he hasn't talked yet, chances are he's not going to. He must be one tough nut.

3. They're still torturing him...
but they don't care about intelligence. It is designed to get them to tell them what they want to hear. The neocons want war.

Example:

"Do you know anything about Iranian nuclear missiles?"

"No"

(US interrogator administers torture)

"Now will you tell me about the Iranian nuclear missiles?"

"Yeah, they don't have any according to the IAEA"

(US interrogator administers more torture)

"Now will you tell me about the Iranian nuclear missiles?"

"Yeah, they got tons of 'em pointed at Israel and your government."

Then, Dick Cheney takes this "intelligence" to his Iranian spy/friends like Chalabi and Ghorbanifar who say it is true. (BTW these are the same sources feeding Curt Weldon his "Able Danger" myth, so they're useful in many ways to our unelected idiots).

Then, Dick Cheney tells our stupid president he has "credible intelligence vetted with confirmation from longtime informants" (regardless of their past "mistakes") that Iran has nukes. If Bush asks about the IAEA, Cheney tells him "the sites are underground, Sir".

5. I hear ya...
I think I'll need a few more cups of tea to get going myself...after rehashing that bit of suppressed knowledge before noon, I'm re-depressed.

:)
