Do you think the Neo Cons give a damn if the war is Unpopular?
Do you think they'll soften their stance or ease up on the escalation? Do you think Lamont's victory will have any effect whatsoever on the neo con war maniacs?

If we took a real vote on the war instead of floating polls, we'd find that it is hugely unpopular, and everyone knows, once a person or thing becomes unpopular, its over.

But the neo cons really do not give a fuck what the mood of the people is do they?

Do you think they'll re think their strategy for the November and 08 elections?

Unpopular is such a weird word to use in regard to world war, horrific, disastrous, and catastrophic are much more appropriate. But that matters not to the tiny handful of maniacs who are currently dragging us all into hell with them.

1. No, but they know they have to deal with it...
Do they actually care? Heavens to Betsy, No. (/Rummy)

But they also know that if opinion clearly turns against them, Congress will bolt and they'll lose the smokescreen that's let them get away with doing whatever they want. So they understand they have to occasionally take certain sop positions until they can "catapult the propaganda", restore their cloak of obfuscation, and go back to their joyride because they've managed to get public opinion divided again.

2. Congress sits between the powerful ones and the people
Right now so many are bought and paid for by those powerful ones that I do not think the people in power care what you and I think.
