Astonishing Turnout In Stamford

Our own Maura has been doing yeoman's service for the campaign in Stamford, home of DLC Dan and, therefore, a Lieberman stronghold.

Here are the turnout percentages she's reporting, along with the time the information was gathered:

1:40 pm -- Lady of the Sea in the Shippan area -- 31%

(This is where Dan Malloy lives.)

2:50 pm -- Turn of River, N. Stamford (Dist 16) -- 40%

2:50 pm -- Turn of River, N. Stamford (Dist 18) -- 29.5%

(The Turn of River area is very upscale.)

3:30 pm -- Springdale area -- 31%

4:15 pm -- K.T.Murphy Elementary -- 30%

(K.T. Murphy is in a very diverse, working class section of the city.)

These numbers would be astonishing if they were final numbers. But look when the data was gathered. This will be a record-setting election by an enormous margin, at least in Stamford.

Tell your friends they can be part of history. The polls stay open until 8 pm.

So I'm not at all sure a big turnout there is good for Ned.
