The Corporate Media Sure is Coming Through for Joe Lieberman.
The Corporate Media, the DLC, Bill Clinton, Hillary Lieberman, the "scientific" polling organizations along with Fox News Corporation's full team of Bill Krystol to their anchor whores are all rallying to Joe's side and/or reporting a "surge" by Lieberman at the last moment. Is is accidental that all of the ususal suspects and slugs who got us into the War in Iraq are now standing toe to toe with Joe?

Since early 2001 I've been a DU'er and I gotta say that with all that we've lost in these years, it would do my heart some good to see Joseph Benedict Arnold Lieberman lose his Senate seat.

Here's to the great Democrats in Connecticut who I think will vote their hearts tomorrow and toss this sack of shit out of the Senate.

2. I knew Joe was sinking

When a DUer met the man and came away with one memorable observation: He had bad breath. Connecticut will decide on Joe's mo jo. But it don't look good and he will be little missed.

3. Personal Suspicions...
In an attempt at both feeding his ambition and as a wrinkle reduction treatment old Joe lined up in private behind Karl Rove's sweaty baloney cheeks (pardon the graphic) and began feeding. He found the position and results so pleasing he kept at it (and didn't notice the breath effects).

Alas, politics being what they are, it didn't make him stand out enough against the background of his DLC pals to cause them to reject him and so long as he retains his elected seat and connections to donations/money and power, neither they nor any other elected Democrats will reject him. Hopefully the opportunity has presented itself for the people of Connecticut to free themselves of this seedy old fellow and clean the party of an unappealing and undeserved yellow color. I do hope this is one of the last times I feel an urge to express what a sorry burden he's been on our Party image (by virtue of his retirement against his will from politics).

14. Will this primary be rigged?
It seems to me that recent media reports of a Lieberman surge could provide cover for another fraudulant outcome.

8. I think Lamont is going to win.
The polls have all showed him ahead by a significant margin. And Lamont supporters actually have a reason to vote for him.

9. Does CT have Diebold voting machines?
The reason I ask is that if the election is "close"...the machines can be hacked without any one being the wiser. Last week, with a 13% Lamont lead....I wondered if the lead would suddenly disappear right before the election. That is exactly what the media is reporting today....all of a sudden...Lamont's lead has shrunk to a "statistical tie"???? My prediction is that Lieberman will "win" by a percentage point or so....so as not to raise too much suspicion. :scared:

18. No, they are on the old lever machines.
But those, too, can be rigged.

I am very nervous about this race. The broader implications are tremendous.

10. Our side has already won -- regardless of the outcome
Putting the fear of God into a longstanding Senator is a victory, regardless of the outcome.

Of course it will be much more meaningful if Holy Joe loses. But the fact that an insurgent has gotten this far is a sign of progress.
