Saw a blurb in the LA Times (no link yet) that he'll be providing commentary for Hannity's show. Great, like that show needs another arrogant, unfunny blow-hard.

and I don't think this stint will last very long, Dennis Miller uses too many big words. He'll just confuse Hannity's fan base.

Is Dennis going to wake up one morning and wonder what the fuck he was thinking? The cosmic dope slap of the century is going to befall that sad sorry ass former wit.

He was never funny, only sarcastic. That wears a bit thin on thinking people after awhile, so he's found a good home.

that was the proverbial straw for him

where he was speaking of his political path.

Edited on Sun Aug-06-06 03:06 AM by GreenTea
The republicans, ever so thoughtful, are throwing out some crumbs, which Miller is gladly gathering up to to feed his family (and career) to try and insult us with, and pretending we are the dupes...So sad, because he's not stupid, he just jumped the ship...the monetary ship and now he's stuck forever, having to continue his groveling and begging for a piece of republican action...."I'm on your side" so you owe me...and went out on the limb to kiss ass. Now please, give me a job...So pathetic!!! I hope his family is proud & can eat well...piece of shit...Republican!!!

37. He wasn't always a knee pad wearer, was he?
I remember when I thought he was really funny and wasn't aware he was a . . . choke, choke . . . Republican. His downfall began after he got a mouthful of refrigerator white teeth. I don't know what significance that has, but that was the timing. Maybe his audience became so distracted by the dazzling (yet somehow creepy) smile, they forgot to listen to the jokes.

Here's the story link: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et-quick5.5aug05,1,6761826.story

Comedian and actor Dennis Miller is joining Fox News as a contributor to "Hannity & Colmes" this fall, according to a network executive. Miller, who did a stint on "Hannity & Colmes" in 2003 and then had his own eponymous show on CNBC, will begin weighing in on news and politics beginning Sept. 13. He will also provide commentary on the Fox News website.

Meanwhile, CNN has hired as a contributor Alina Fernandez, the exiled daughter of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and a critic of her father's policies. Fernandez, who left Cuba in 1993, is based in Miami.

42. Look, I don't mean to go on a rant or anything...
but why is it that the entertainers who happen to do the most conservative work are the out of work ones? Funny, but when "Dennis Miller" used to share paragraphs with "Pogo Ball," "acid wash jeans," and "Tears for Fears," I don't remember any rallying for freeing Ollie North or letting up on Clarence Thomas. But, magically, countless commercials and 2 or 3 failed talk shows later, you can't even get bumped up from the 20 minute wait for seating at the Hometown Buffet, and NOW you're all mad at liberal Hollywood, for its awful lack of morals, and how its derisive nature tears us apart, and who the hell is this "Federline" guy who's allowed into clubs that used to let you stride in, Gordon Gecko hair and all?

Because it sure as hell has nothing to do with your wise career decisions. I mean, "Monday Night Football?" Hell, I haven't seen a decision that poorly made since Michael Caine skipped the Oscars to film "Jaws 3." What, did you really think that what you brought to Weekend Update(um....Bryll Creme?) could be magically transformed beside John Madden. Here's a little sidenote, cha-cha, people laugh at him when he's unintentionally funny, which I'm sure you'd still take the same way Jim Belushi takes autograph requests from clueless sorts who don't know John died.

Secondly, CNBC?! A talk show on CNBC, known for comedy mastermind Maria Bartiromo? Just for shits and giggles, maybe we could run that show and Jay Mohr's failed ESPN talk show on a loop and see if we could create a contained black hole with all that sucking on one plane.

But, hey, this is just my opinion, and I know that when you were saying "I am outta here," you know that "here" meant "cultural relevance." Say hi to Bocephus when he drops by to see Hannity, too.
