Same "human interest story" on CNN as on the front page of my newspaper.

Hmmm. More suggestion that the entire corporate media realm is a freakin' scam.

CNN just did a rather lengthy human interest puff-piece about a woman who started an Alpaca llama farm. Talked about the stress relief, the wool, how raising llamas is fun and profitable, blah, blah, blah. I had this strange deja vu feeling, although I hadn't had the teevee on long yet. Then I recalled where I saw this story...just about 90 minutes earlier. As an entire full page story, complete with color photographs, on the front page of the Hartford Courant's Business section.

Wow. Either these Alpaca farmers hired a publicist and an agent to promote their farm, or something about the "news" we're being fed isn't actually coming from local decision makers on the editorial boards. It's a minor issue, to be sure, it's only Alpacas, not bombs. But sheez. I wish I knew the facts behind this story. I gauran-freakin-tee that it was released by The International Alpaca Conglomerate, probably a donor to BushCo even. But I find it hard to believe that the touchy-feely wonderfullness of Alpacas just happened to be on the radar screens of two such disparate news organizations as the Hartford Courant and CNN.
