Whoever said convention was so smart? Anyway, the story they circulate is that Tasini can't win upstate, which votes more conservative than the NYC area, which tends to vote blue.

Of course, they said that about Her a few years ago. She has a massive war chest and people seem to perceive her as a "winner" and (believe it or not) a "fighter." I haven't seen her stand up for anything except stupid social stuff (like the Pledge of Allegiance flap), flag burning, and she is qute conservative on choice, repeating the old available, safe and rare ... which translates to expensive, complicated and hard to get. She really frosted my butt on this latest Bolton stuff. Everybody says she's keeping her powder dry, but for what? Is she waiting for Bush to nominate the Ravenous Bugbladder Beast of Traal before she'll uncover that precious powder of hers?
