I gottta be missing something here.
They say they tell all civilians to get out Hezbolla hide outs. They say they drop leaflets. So this is a justification as to why civilians may die.

But I just heard that Israel dropped three bombs on a road out of Lebanon into Syria that civilians have been using by the thousands to escape the bombing.

It may take two months before the road can re-open.

What the hell am I missing??

1. You're not missing anything. They are actively targetting civilians.
I don't give a shit what Israel's PR machine is trying to spin out today. It is obvious to anyone with a brain that they are targetting the civilian population of Lebanon.

3. The leaflets are political cover for the U.S.

The Republican thinking is: Anyone who does not comply, deserves what s/he gets. Even the babies and small children.

Just like during Katrina, their thinking is SOOOO predictable.

4. It's not what you're missing...
...it's the painful reality of what you've seemingly not yet fully digested and/or come to terms with---I'm still struggling with it myself: Israel is a rogue, out of control, terrorist nation whose terrorism is fully supported and sponsored by our U.S. tax dollars.

5. You're not missing a thing
They've also bombed trucks and buses carrying civilians away from the bombing zone, claiming any large vehicle is a legitimate target because it MIGHT be used to carry weapons.

Out of compassion for the Israel first posters on this board who have got to be feeling a great deal of pain over this sort of thing, I'll restrain my language. But clearly Israel is NOT in the right in this conflict and IS using genocidal means to try to win it.

Yes, the other side is also wrong. However, my sympathies lie with the civilians on both sides, especailly those in southern Lebanon who have been trapped by destruction of infrastructure and an inability to find the sort of transportation that a paranoid attacker would not consider a threat.
