And Lamont hasn't even begun campaigning for the General yet, unlike a certain incumbant I could mention.

Goodbye, Joe! We'll miss you!

3. Once Lamont wins the primary, could he force Joe to run against
the Democratic party itself? Kill his indie run with its own indieness?

7. I'm going to Town Hall on Monday so I can register Democrat and vote
against Lieberman in the primary.

I sure wish this state allowed independents to vote in primaries, as some others do.

15. Not too late!
It's only too late for those registered with another party. Independents and unregistered have until noon on the seventh and it can all be done by mail.

16. Cool!
I registered over a month ago, and got a notice that the first election I would be eligible for was the General.

18. I changed mine from "non-affiliated"
to Democratic last Monday. The clerk at the town hall told me I was all set but probably would not get my confirmation before the primary. I got it on Friday! If you are either not registered at all or are non affiliate, you can change to Democratic and it takes effect immediately. Any Republican who would have wanted to switch to Democrat would have had to do it by May 8 because changing from one Party to another takes 90 days to become effective. And on May 8 not too many Lieberman supporters were worrying about their chances..:D And article in TNR stated that a group of Republicans went to a town hall to switch and were told "sorry...too late for the primaries."

8. That's the first poll I saw
that had it that close in a three-way race. Most others I've seen have Joe with a big lead.

11. It can only get worse for Joe IMO
The lower his numbers drop, the more shrill and desperate he sounds. It is very ugly.

Of course that might attract some Repukes who think dirty is the only way to go but it will disgust moderates and independants.
