They spent their Vietnam years as children of the privileged classes avoiding danger.

They stroked one another by decorating their psychopathy with the Hitlerian views of Leo Strauss.

They have the belief system of utter cowards, fearing everything they can't control, and they believe control is best accomplished by assaulting and terrorizing and murdering anything that is free from their domination.

They plotted together for decades, funded and powerfully supported by the Corporatist wing of US Capitalism, and they promised to drive the living condition of the proles into the dirt.

The poured millions of dollars into building up a cult, nominally Christian, targeted on the most fearful and easily conned, and centered around fear and hatred of the "other." They sold those cults with an ego-stroking assurance of righteousness and a promise of heaven they were certainly in no position to ever provide.

And, being craven ideologues, who Will Never See any resemblance to themselves in the face of a butchered child, they will kill as many as they can for as long as they can, fearing more deeply and desperately as the stench of the blood around them rises.

The only good side of things is that they are utterly batshit delusional, and they may very well kill the monster they serve in their deranged and suicidal quest to find a cure for their cowardice.

And maybe humanity will learn to recognize the kind of deadly disease they are, maybe a bit more quickly, and maybe turn ourselves toward helping one another.
