"In just a single day, the heart pumps the body's supply of blood-approx. 5 quarts (4.7 liters) in an average adult ."

"salt of the earth"

When people refer to someone as "good people..salt of the earth", it's meant to be a positive comment about their character.

Warmongers have brought home to me, another meaning for "salt of the earth"..

How many buckets of blood, gallons of tears and sweat have been greedily slurped up by the soils of how many desolate places..battlefields. all of them?

No continent except Antarctica has been denied that "salt"..

The soil in which we plant our petunias, probably contains ancient "salt" residues from battles long ago..

Spilled blood, shed tears...from too many people to count..over too many years to know..

Collectively we may be gaining knowledge, but we sure don't get any smarter

1. What's the MPG on a fill-up, ya gotta wonder?
That's costing more than three bucks a gallon, no matter what way they try to slice it.

2. How many deaths this month? Nothing makes the papers anymore.
One soldier from a few towns away died tuesday, but other than that it doesn't even make the news since all the focus is on Israel and Lebanon.

3. Pretty clever, eh?
have Israel stir up a shitstorm that sucks all the oxygen out of every room, send prince pissypants to meet with the "black folks" to show how kind he is, keep the US OUT of any involvement in the Lebanon catastrophe, and here is suddenly no Iraq...no war goin' on there...

The perfect proxy war.. :(
