Janeane has left the building?? (Majority Report, Scientology, etc.)

Please bear with me - tonight is the first I heard that Janeane Garofalo walked away from The Majority Report on AAR. I'm now hearing that, at the very least, she got played by a Scientology front group a month or two ago and started promoting their stuff on-air.

What really happened, guys? TMR is tape-delayed in the Dallas market past my radio time, so I have no idea what's going on.

earlier in the car and thought he said she was on jury duty??????

3. Don't know anything about the Scientology

but a month or so ago she said was giving up the show pretty much, just filling in once in a while. Sam has gotten so strong and she felt it would be best for the show...or something to that effect.

4. She's been on Grand Jury Duty. Sam says she'll be back Friday.

Besides, I think her first love is acting and she'll eagerly give up TMR for it. I miss her but can't blame her for pursuing her true calling.

5. She was NOT promoting Scientology.

She was reporting on a program that was being used by the police and firefighters of New York to help them after they got sick from working at the trade center site. That's a very short version of it, but the freepers and neocons got on it right away and as usual the story was that Janeane was a Scientologist. That is so not true. She is an atheist who was just interviewing another actress who knew these firefighters and how well they were doing on the program.

She was really having a tough time sharing the same show with Sam and she was saying some pretty childish stuff on the air, actually fighting with him. She got pretty nasty. That's what happened. They were fighting on the air, I don't think Sam actually knew what to do with her. It was irritating at first, but then it really started to piss me off the way she was acting. I don't think she'll come back, but that's my two cents. She wants her own show and keeps telling Sam he is better by himself also.

Too bad. When they were good, they were pretty entertaining. She'd be OK with her own show, but is hard to listen to sometimes.......
