3. Stupid is a stupid says...

Its so odd to see this argument about the US being a republic and not a democracy, and yet in the next breath these idiots will go on to talk about how we're spreading democracy to Iraq. I wouldn't be to proud of the republic moniker as it only means we don't have a monarch as head of state. Many republics are dictatorships. Is that what these right wingers want? We are a democracy we have a constitutional right to participate in the political system by electing our leaders or electing those who ultimately choose the leader (as in the president) hence we are a representative democracy.
