Do you think they had to go through the tape in slow motion to get just the picture they wanted?

1. I think they intentionally choose a less than favorable picture.
If that is what you're asking, Zen. They're bastards over there.

3. I think it is pretty good - they all try to find 'action shots'
The fact that his head has just moved and his jaw is 'off' gives it the look of TV!

7. I'm okay with it.
It's the speech that counts. Al Gore, to me, looked larger than life today. Made bush look like a teeny-tiny itsy-bitsy sniveling sneaking coward.

8. I see what you mean. Anyone who has seen Gore already knows
he looks nothing like that, so ultimately, their nasty trick only discredits CNN in the eyes of normal people.

Bush, however, easily looks as horrid as any of the comic photos we find in ENORMOUS numbers.

Al Gore still always looks intelligent, no matter how unusually unrepresentative the photo is.

9. Nothing wrong with it -- looks fine to me.
And anyhow, the worst picture of Gore they could possibly find anywhere would still look far better than the best one they could find of Cowboy George.

10. The picture is fine and the article is a fair representation of the speech
The speech was tremendous I think. If the other media outlets would give it more play it would be a great service to the country.
