3. Exactly...

Are they trying to tie his death to his appearance in the movie? What a dumb statement.

16. Bingo. This is all Moore's fault! Another dead soldier and Moore is to
blame.

14. I don't know what he might say, I just doubt they bothered to actually
get in touch with him and ask for a comment. I wouldn't have any idea how to contact him on a few hours notice...maybe CBS has a phone number but the way they put it seemed to imply that he didn't/doesn't care. I think that impression is wrong. Just sayin'

4. Why not ask Chucklenuts if HE has a comment? He is the one who
sent that poor soldier to Bush's War.

Just by saying that Moore had no comment must mean in Repug World that Moore is dancing a jig over that poor guy's death.

Moore didn't get that kid killed, he doesn't have to comment on the situation unless he wants to offer his condolences to the family. Geeze, Louise, they will stoop to anything in the attempt to throw blame somewhere else.

7. Exactly!
In fact, perhaps if idiots who condemmed Moore for this movie, had gotten the message he was showing, this young man may still be alive today!

11. Really, for what noble cause, Pretzeldent Chucklenuts, was this marine

6. I am pretty happy with CBS News....
It is the only news program I watch on a regular basis. Bob Schieffer in my opinion has been a very fair anchor and I for one will be sad to see him retire. And as far as the marine death goes, there is no need for Moore to comment on this.....

9. kick.. I wonder whatever happened to the African American Marine who said
that he wouldn't go back to Iraq?

I was a little worried when I read this that HE was the one who died.

I feel bad for the recruiter though...

17. That was my first thought, too. That young Marine was willing to make
a stand few will make.

I hope he's OK. MKJ

10. That's better than the smear-job Charlie Gibson just delivered.
Edited on Wed Jun-28-06 06:24 PM by Beausoir
Paraphrasing here but Gibson said something about this guy being a true soldier "NOT like what was portrayed in the movie".

It's personal for Gibson..this pro-bloody war movement.
He's lovin' it.

15. Did the president of CBS have a comment?
That network, along with the rest of the MSM, *caused* the war that killed this guy to happen through its dishonest and propagandistic pre-war coverage .

18. Same Treatment On Der Volf's 'Situation Room'
He says Michael Moore added audio commentary that made it somewhat critical of the Marines recruiting tactics. "He hated it. He hated the thought of it and the way it was presented to him." Plower says his son thought he was participating in a documentary about the Marine Corps, not F 9/11.

And what tactics would those be? Recruiting the down and out in distressed neighborhoods, as documented in technicolor?

Now we've been trying to give Michael Moore a chance to respond. We couldn't reach him through his production company, so we wrote a letter to his agent, who has been trying to track him down. Can tell you that in the past Moore has publicly defended his film against its critics.

Respond to what, the past public defense of his work?

Oh yea, that liberal media.
