7 Arrests Over Chicago Plot-Described As Wannabes, No al-Qaeda Connection
BBC NEWS
Seven arrests over 'Chicago plot'

...............

The Miami Herald newspaper's City Editor, Mani Garcia, who has been working on the story, said there did not appear to be a direct connection between the suspects and al-Qaeda.

"They have been described to us by sources as wannabes or sympathisers," he told the BBC World Service.

As well as the 442-metre (1,450-foot) Sears Tower, the tallest building in the US, the group were planning to target a federal building in Miami, and some FBI buildings, officials said.

But the seven were not posing any immediate danger, according to the FBI.

1. This is a typical Drug Warrior tactic,
One that is now being employed by those who wish to perpetuate the War on Terror.

First, have somebody posing as a leader, either of a drug cartel or terrorist group. Then round up a group of stupid, foolish posers and wannabes. People who, when left to their own devices would never pose a threat, or committ a crime. Pump them up with lies and money, to the point where they're in waaay over their head, and the desired "count"(either in pounds of drugs, or weapons gathered, or targets selected) is big enough to make a large splash and reflect well on your agency. Then yank the rug out from underneath them, bust them, and then crow, crow, crow about how you and your agency saved the day, saved the world, and the world is now a safer place. Also, as in this case, you can shock the sheeple into being even more scared and fearful, thus giving you a blank pass to committ even more atrocities and rip away even more of our civil rights. Rinse and repeat whenever needed, whenever the people are starting to question you or are being complacent.

Whoever these seven people are, they were no threat on their own, a bunch of posers and wannabes grouching amongst themselves. However they were actively encouraged and pumped up by members of our very own government. Sad, very sad. Arrest them for being terminally stupid, sure. But not for being terrorists.
