BAGHDAD, June 17 (Reuters) - U.S. forces are investigating how Marines killed 24 Iraqi civilians at Haditha last year.

Here are some other incidents that have made headlines about U.S. forces' treatment of civilians in Iraq: snip

June 16 - U.S. military says it started a criminal investigation into the deaths on or around May 9 of three men in the custody of U.S.-led forces in Salahaddin province.

June 16 - U.S. Marine Corps says the military has loosened the conditions under which it is confining seven Marines and a Navy corpsman being investigated over the Hamandiya shooting.

June 16 - U.S. special operations troops kept some Iraqi detainees chained in a room with a diet of bread and water for as long as 17 days, according to a U.S. military report made public under a court order.
