Is it a prerequisite for Republicans to have zero respect
For either People or the Planet? That seems to be the one unifying factor among them. They have No Respect.

1. We know Repubs don't respect our U.S. VETERANS
Edited on Sat Jun-17-06 10:32 AM by SpiralHawk
They go out of their way to trash and insult the men and women who have actually served America with honor.

And then, with propaganda, they hold up as phony heroes:

George AWOL Bush
Dick "Five Deferments" Cheney
Rush "Analy Cyst draft dodger" Limbaugh
Bill "Chickenhawk Draft Dodger and sex pervert" O'Reilly

They have no respect for America's Veterans, that's for damn sure...

2. A consequence of overwhelming Greed...
and selfishness. That other, inconsequential, stuff just gets in the way of taking the maximum profit for numero uno.

3. You mean Labor and Resources? They LOVE them!
Well ... it's more like LUST than love, but that's their religion.

:silly: They believe that others will die for their sins, you see.

Besides, it's enough for them that the cow gives a shit. They call it fertilizer and sell it. :dunce:

7. The guiding principle is
they care ONLY about themselves. As long as they've got theirs, the rest of the hoi-polloi can bloody starve in the streets. Marie-Antoinette had nothing on these folks. Its all about an insulated bubble world of gated communities, "exclusive" country clubs (i.e. no Jews, Blacks, etc.), mutual corporate aid (the Boards of Directors of Big Oil, Defense, Halliburton) all in bed with each other to make ever higher profits and pay less taxes. Remember when Poppy Bush made a campaign stop at a supermarket and it became painfully evident that he had NEVER seen a checkout scanner?

9. It's not that they disrespect others--it's that they're incapable
Of respecting or empathizing with anyone or anything which isn't them. It's the core tenet of conservatism: I've got mine, screw everybody else.

11. I find your second remark offensive
If indeed you were implying that people who have mental illness as a group can be presumed to have no respect for others. People who have mental illnesses are no more or less likely to be disrespectful than anybody else.
