Pete Ashdown on the BBC
Pete Ashdown on the BBC
Pete Ashdown -- who is running against US Senator Orrin Hatch from Utah this year -- will be on the BBC World Service's program World Have Your Say today (Friday) and on Monday. He'll join the program today for a few minutes as a teaser for Monday's program to discuss his use of wikis to interact with people to form his campaign platform. I am scheduled to participate on Monday's program as well. World Have Your Say is interested in Ashdown becuase he has interesting ideas about politics. For example, in the future he hopes that normal citizens will use wikis to help politicians draft legislation. Ashdown feels that normal citizens are smarter at writing legislation than special interest groups and corporations. Visit Pete Ashdown's wiki to see how people have already proved that this is a viable idea. World Have Your Say airs at 1800 GMT Monday through Friday, which is 1300 EST, 1200 CST, 1100 MST, and 1000 PST in the United States. You can stream it live from the BBC's website (look for BBC World Service and "Listen Live") or at KUOW2's site from Seattle.
