Glen Beck commercials on AAR Los Angeles... Why?
I barely know who he is to begin with but judging from the commercial aired he sounds like a wanna-be O'Reillyesque asshole. Gee whiz, you'd think people would be tiring of that shit by now, it reminds me of the "boy band" craze.

9. Absolutely! Ka-ching, ka-ching!
It also suggests that conservatives are listening to AAR, much the way some liberals listen to Lush Limpballs just to get their blood boiling!

10. We're getting the same in Atlanta too...
also a lot of commercials for the National Guard?????? But not for long. I just found out that the radio station that airs AAR has been sold and will not be broadcasting AAR anymore--except for the Al Frankin show. This is not sitting well with me at all.

12. I Said Same Thing On Monday
They started this week. I couldn't understand how they could get on an AA station, let alone one in L.A.

It might have to do with a contract they have with CNN, since it's a CNN show.

14. Some AAR stations carry CNN Radio News Service
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 02:27 PM by Wheres The Beef
Beck is on CNN Headline News. Part of the deal in radio is you get locals spots and the network gets national spots. It's all about the money, no money no radio station.
BTW National Guard spots are usually PSAs and not revenue producers.

16. His ads ARE obnoxious
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 02:53 PM by libodem
In one that airs here:...he starts off by saying that Bush needs a better PR campaign... (I'm paraphrasing)....Roman Polanski..here's this guy who 'has' his pregnant wife killed by the Charles Manson murderers and then beds a 13 year old, then leaves the country. He still wins an Oscar. Now, that guy has a PR firm that should represent, Bush, to get those poll numbers up. He really tries to be hip and funny. Calls everyone sick, twisted, freaks...and those are the callers he likes. He's a Mormon, recovering alcoholic/drug addict, DJ, who is now making money hand over fist as a Bush/neocon propagandist. What an A-hole. edit typo

21. Yeah they are obnoxious...
the one in LA has him wondering about "today's teen role models" and various other topics that most people couldn't give a rat's ass about. And what's with the right and this claim of having "common sense"? :wtf: is that?

marketing drones think the AAR audience is as uninformed as right wingers are. I find it humorous that they're wasting money on an demographic who knows better.
