I believe I am an objectivist Democrat:
I want to help people and I don't care much about how we do it, so long as it is constitutional and hurts no one.

I don't believe in making wild statements not based upon fact, I believe in our party, and I don't need to twist the facts to prove my point.

I am willing to accept ideas from anyone, and criticize them in a kind and compassionate way.

I think political comedy is ok, but don't make fun of dead people or their survivors.

I don't know what else I like or dislike, but I do know this to be the truth.

1. Pretty much the way it works in my corner of the world.
But, I can make wild statements because I know ALOT of wild facts - once you make friends with callgirls, you hear ALOT of wild facts.

2. Make sure you don't say Objectivist
That's Ayn Rand's philosophy. Basically an honest version of Bush/Cheney's philosophy.

5. Not that kind of Objectivist...

No, I don't think things are black and white. I guess a better word would be pragmatic.

6. Ayn Rand destroyed "objectivism," so
I'm glad you're shifting to pragmatic as a term for calling yourself. The thing about pragmatism is that it makes room for a lot of variable views without tying one down to a particular political ideology.

4. How about dead people who did truly terrible things?
Osama Bin Forgotten, that Zucchini guy, Queasy and Udder Hussein, and so on? They deserve no compassion. Not for what they've done.
