1. The Problem Is The Logic Has Flip-Flopped
It used to be that the nominee had to prove their worth and ability to perform in the position competently and fairly.

Now, the burden of proof is on us to prove otherwise. How ass backwards is that??????

Did I miss something.

No one is above the law.

No one is below the law.

Every case has to be looked at with an open mind.

Was there any more that I missed?

3. Just a result of repugs controlling the whole damn thing.
Unless we regain control of the congress ... he'll keep packing the court with his repug buddies. When we do regain control (puleeezze god, soon), the first thing that needs to be done is INCREASE the number of judges on the court ... by at least THREE new positions! We'll have the numbers to pull that off if we can win all the races in 2006.
