Are the Laura Bush rumors true?
I don't tend to follow rumors like this, but is it true the Laura may have walked out on Georgie?

I say this because I haven't seen any Laura photo-ops recently.

9. It would certainly explain why the Clintons' marriage was the subject
of a startlingly tabloid-ish front page New York Times article two days before.

11. Hmmmmmm.... Vellllleee Inntelesssting...
(imagine condescending german professor-ish freud-like accent)

Zere ist no suchen seng ass koensidince. (Der Kondoleezsen nukey callen vast tu matchen fur der farst frau!)

It might also explain why Bush is looking "hung-over" at press conferences (at least today's).

2. You're asking us?
Maybe the Cons will be willing to believe it when it appears on page 1 of the New York Times - just like the hit piece on the Clinton's "troubled marriage" - which they were all too willing to believe from that "liberal rag" they hate so much.

3. She was in Minnesota this week raising money for a vile
Republican. She said the Iraq war was in its last throes.

She has a job to do. She's still part of the Bush Clan.

4. I wouldn't blame her for leaving him or separating.
However, we really don't know what their marriage is like. She probably couldn't leave even if she wanted to until after 2008.

5. She seems to be hot on the First Lady PR trail.
Out talking about malaria and libraries and such. I don't see a reason to think they're splitsville.

6. As far as I can figure out, all the rumors are based on a Wayne Madsen
article. Figure it out yourself.

7. If the rumors are true, I can already hear the GOP response:
"This is an unfortunate situation, but it is a private matter between the the President and First Lady. Let's give them the consideration and respect they deserve and allow them time to work things out between them. This is not a matter of public concern."

Contrast that with what they did to Bill Clinton... :eyes:

8. She will never leave him
She has the best of both worlds..She has a cushy life, and the freedom to spend a lot of time away from him anytime she wants..

Every time she wants something, it magically appears..

I cannot see her back in a library somewhere, stacking books..

Her remaining years will be as comfy as the previous 30-some have been..

Parasitic women like her, hitch themselves to a "guy" who will provide for them.. If they do not get along well these days, she can always look forward to being the "widow of the president", and the book deals that will follow..

She made her "deal" decades ago, and she will stay the course..

Once Bar checks out, SHE will be the Bush Matriarch..

13. Globe News had them as a front cover
item...talking about their split. Also, yesterday, I saw a deliciously salacious item that some political candidate is saying she had sex with * and that she saw him have sex with another man.
My My. Such Xtian values.

16. George + Condi + JimmyJeff - Laura = some fine fun reading!
Not like the media ever gave two shits about truth. Murdoch wants to sell newspapers and this will do it.
Laura can go back to the job she had in college - independent pharmaceutical sales and distribution.
