Tonight's NBC News LEAD story a SCATHING one about junior
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 12:09 AM by ailsagirl
and his pathetic mishandling of the New Orleans disaster.

With the words "Insult to Injury" and "Slow Burn" in the background, the
story rips junior and his utter incompetence in regard to Hurricans Katrina
and its terrible aftermath. And other things, as well. I believe I heard the
word "trillions of dollars" and "deficit" also.

:nopity:

Scroll down to the thumbnail (first column) that reads, "Few see Bush's positive
spin on New Orleans" and click Play.

I hope it works-- my connection speed is very slow so I had trouble watching all
of it. But I saw enough to see how disgusted people are getting over that moron.

3. Dunno but it was great to see!! THE TRUTH!!!!!
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 12:06 AM by ailsagirl
I nearly fell out of my chair, to be honest!! I don't normally watch
the evening news but I was going through the channels and I saw the
words, "Insult to Injury" and a huge bonfire. Then Brian Williams
describing how people from New Orleans not only had to lose their
homes, but they had to watch the remains being incinerated.

When I saw the words, "Slow Burn," and "spin," I KNEW the editors
were just as disgusted as we are.

2. David Gregory and Martin Savage's segments up on crooks and liars also.
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 12:07 AM by Pirate Smile
I assume that is the one you are talking about.

Here is that link:

NOLA Left Behind

David Gregory's report is saddening. Bush tells the people that everything is doing great: "It's a heck of a place to bring your family," but that's not the case at all. The people are very upset over what is being done-which is not much.

Video-WMP Video-QT

Bush talks about a building boom and how exciting it's going to be. Is he kidding? They are facing the worst time of their life and he's putting a happy face on it. People that I've talked to down there are very angry and disillusioned.

6. Yes, Martin Savidge was the reporter on NBC
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 12:17 AM by ailsagirl
who narrated tonight's story.

Good. The more reporters who share our disgust, the better. This
"administration" is an OUTRAGE!!!

And, I'm hoping, we'll see more and more stories like this in the
mainstream media. Perhaps we are already-- I don't know. I don't
watch network news if I can help it.

I'm beginning to think that most of them regard junior with the
same jaundiced eye that we do. How could they not??

10. The Rude One put it quite nicely
http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/

You Can Take the Pom-Poms From the Man, But You Can't Take the Man From the Pom-Poms:
What a strange, bifurcated world our distressingly small George Bush appears to live in. Here he is, our goddamn President, sitting just to the west and south of miles and miles of ruined houses, businesses, and neighborhoods in New Orleans, and here's what he says, under a backdrop of a hideously smiling Mardi Gras jester: "It may be hard for you to see, but from when I first came here to today, New Orleans is reminding me of the city I used to come to visit. It's a heck of a place to bring your family. It's a great place to find some of the greatest food in the world and some wonderful fun. And I'm glad you got your infrastructure back on its feet. I know you're beginning to welcome citizens from all around the country here to New Orleans. And for folks around the country who are looking for a great place to have a convention, or a great place to visit, I'd suggest coming here to the great -- New Orleans."

"It's a heck of a place to bring your family" can this man become more out of touch with reality?

14. That woman broke my heart when she started to break down.
Seeing that woman cry, she's black, she's poor, but she's proud of what she's accomplished in her life, and God as my witness, I know she's overcome a lot more than that man rebuilding in that fancy neighborhood.

I hope there is a real guardian angel out there, a host of angels, watching over her and those like her, caught in the debris of New Orleans. I hope she rebuilds her home and has many blessings in the days to come. I hope. I hope. I always hope.
