doesn't change a damn thing about the way we live. My opinion is that on pointless issues like that it's better to give it to them (that's why Hillary sponsored flag burning law), then to fight it, because they will just turn around and say that liberals are against american flag.

Now gay marriage is different because it seriously affects lives of people. However it is not a winning issue (mainly because of electoral college), so I think in that matter democrats should focus on giving gay couples EVERY SINGLE LEGAL AND FINANCIAL RIGHT in a civil union mode, except for giving them the word marriage officially. Then after a while people will realizing that all we are arguing about is just a damn word.
