I called both my Senators, Bill Nelson and Mel Martinez this morning and gave their office an earful. I told them that I could not believe that with all the problems that this country has right now, that is Bush wanting a Constitutional Amendment to be taken up by the Senate. I also reminded both of them that never in our country's history have we ever amended the Constitution to discriminate against any group of individuals.

Specter just said this amendment as no chance of passing - then starts giving examples how this issue has already been decided by states so move on.
