Stolen Election? Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Cites Author Mark Crispin Miller.
Some of Mr. Miller's work was cited in Mr. Kennedy's article, "Was The 2004 Election Stolen?" I tell 'ya, that RFK sure knows how to pick 'em! I encourage you to do yourself a favor and listen to the University of Massachusetts talk with Mark Crispin Miller that I've linked to a bit down-thread.

For those as yet unfamiliar with Mr. Miller, he wrote an important article for Harper's Magazine in 2005, "None Dare Call It Stolen" about the Ohio election fraud shenanigans--or crimes, if you prefer--which was cited on page four of the recent Rolling Stone article by Kennedy. Here is a link to the Miller piece:
http://www.harpers.org/ExcerptNoneDare.html

Mr. Miller is also the author of "Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the 2004 Election & Why They'll Steal the Next One Too (Unless We Stop Them)" The book has faced an active media blackout since it was released in November. A blackout by not only the predictable FOX and CNN, but NPR and PBS as well. Miller is a highly respected voice, but you wouldn't know it from NPR's reaction--Miller couldn't even buy a spot to promote his book. http://www.onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_443.shtml

Listening to Miller speak on the subject of stolen elections is a revelation, as many a DUer will attest. (and if you are one such DUer, you're cordially invited to testify herein.):-) His book has been reported by many more as a "must read".

So set aside an hour, or as much time as you can, and listen to this talk which was hosted by the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, and taped by C-Span.
http://www.booktv.org/feature/index.asp?segid=6941&schedID=411

Here is another link to the event, graciously provided by DUer reprehensor. Be the media, spread the word!
http://www.archive.org/details/mark_crispin_miller

If you decide to purchase the book online, remember to go to DU's homepage, scroll to the bottom right side and click on the Amazon link when buying, so that our DU can get a small cut. I think it's not a bad idea to also put in a request for the book at our respective local libraries, whether we own a copy or not.

And finally, (are you still with me?) if you haven't yet read Kennedy's remarkable article in Rolling Stone, here is a link to that gem. Better yet, pick up a copy--it's a historical document!

It was interesting ... when DU was quite a bit smaller. It was around the time he wrote the book on Bush and his pathologies. That's about the same time we pretty much arrived at the consensus regarding Junior's Narcisstic Personality Disorder.

19. Yep - RK Jr is the person MCM was refering to...
MCM just sent this out from his Google group a few days ago - [email protected]

Here, finally, is that mainstream piece that I've been publicly referring to for months. As I had promised Rolling Stone and Kennedy that I would keep it confidential, I could not mention the specifics, but here they are at last.

This piece should finally snap the Dems out of their trance, and push the media-- both mainstream and progressive--to pay due attention to this all-important issue.

18. In my school district, we have a summer suggested book list...
I suggested his book, and it was added with the link to Amazon for easy purchase. There are approximately 600 teachers in my district. There are many ways to spread the word for a well-written, meticulously documented book of the truth. It is such a great book for someone who doesn't know or suspect anything about what happened in 2004.
Like so many here, there was little there that I wasn't already aware of, but for the novice, he lays it out so well.

23. I've never thought about being a journalist...
but I've done more journalism/reporter work in the last six years than I ever thought. You know, I just hate to see a country go down without at least a rant or two. I've never had a single person on my email list ask to be deleted. Everyone has indicated that they appreciate my news bits, because they know they wouldn't hear it on the 6 o'clock news.
There is power in us.

24. It is well written
... and meticulously documented. Everyone should own at least one copy. It will be historic one day.

Went to a big-box bookstore today. The same where I ordered my copy of "Fooled Again" six months ago. They had no copy on the shelf, but had 20 Cheney "I are a lesbian" books. I go to the counter and inquire. Haven't had one in stock, ever. Told the clerk that his company was blacklisting a most important book. Bastards!

We need a discussion about this book over in ER. Who else is up for that?

21. Kind of off-topic, but here is a funny link of MCM on the Daily Show...
Miller was interviewed as a cultural expert in an Ed Helms story about a Texas town that changed its name to Dish to get free Dish Network TV for all residents. Miller was great (he admitted on his blog that he in on the joke and was acting the whole time which is why he appears pissed). At one point Helms refers to him as a "tweedy, can't-grow-a-beard intellectual" and then a "whiney, know-it-all."

Miller was a good sport and played along perfectly.

Here is a link for those who missed it. Find the video called "Ready, Willing and Cable."

There's no doubt the elections were stolen and I'm sure the book will piss me off ROYALLY.

I saw Mark on C-SPAN and he knows what he's talking about and has more than enough evidence to back up what he says. Why is it being IGNORED by the Dem politicians? That's what I want to know. I think they want to use the machines to pick our primary candidate, Hillary, for us. JMCPO. Why else would they IGNORE the obvious?
