Blair accused of cover-up in Iraq probe (sound familiar?)
Apparently, obstructing investigations is a transatlantic affair: Tony Blair's an asshole too.

Blair is accused of new cover-up over Attorney General's advice on Iraq war

Tony Blair was accused yesterday of a fresh cover-up over the invasion of Iraq after Downing Street refused to surrender e-mails and other sensitive documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act.

Labour MPs and Liberal Democrats called for the release of all relevant information about the deliberations of Lord Goldsmith, the Attorney General, who has been accused of buckling under political pressure when he declared the attack to be legal in a statement to parliament on March 17, 2003.

Lord Goldsmith dismissed claims he was ‘leant on’
The criticism followed the release yesterday by the Cabinet Office and the Attorney General's office of a "disclosure statement" purporting to provide more information about Lord Goldsmith's thinking and discussions in the days leading up to the invasion.
