"The O'Reilly factor was simply 'a blatant lie' "
Some of you may have been watching the recent Bill O'Reilly rant about the American Civil Liberties Union when a local student's name popped up.

O'Reilly snapped that Shannon Baldon was "getting a scholarship for refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance -- very nice."

It would have been very nice if O'Reilly, the top-rated Fox commentator, had got the story right.

Beth Wilson, who runs the Kentucky ACLU, dismissed O'Reilly's version as "a blatant lie."

1. O'Reilly got the story Right
He just chose to lie about it and pander to the Right.

4. Give a Damn?
I don't think the BobbleHead knows what the Truth is - unless, of course, he reads it in The Paris Business Journal.

6. Obviously O'Reilly gets paid extremely well
to lie like a dog.

Just think, rw lies are going to become a part of our history and within a generation our children will be unable to tell what ACTUALLY happened in ANY given situation...so WE might as well start lying too. (I don't really mean that)

they are lying.

This is true for any talking head on Chimpy News Network and FAUX

9. What do you mean once again? That was the first time
O'Reilly has been the worst person in the world on Countdown. And it's about time he was, too.

10. ???? He's been the worst person in the world a number of times
Hell, he's been the worse, worser, AND worst at least once.

O'Reilly should be paying rent for the space he takes up on Keith's show.

11. He holds the record, doesn't he?
for Worst Person in the World?
Drudge finally made an appearance...his second. He deserves more recognition for his, uh, "work".

20. You must have cable problems.
Feud with Bill O’Reilly
Olbermann and Bill O’Reilly, his direct competitor on the Fox News Channel, feud openly. Olbermann has repeatedly named O’Reilly his “Worst Person in the World”, while O’Reilly has petitioned for the ouster of Olbermann from MSNBC and the return of Phil Donahue to Olbermann’s time slot on the basis that Donahue's ratings far exceeded Olbermann's.

The feud stems from Olbermann's public enjoyment of O'Reilly's harrassment suit by Andrea Mackris<4>, a former Fox employee; he jokingly kept track of money his viewers pledged to buy the tapes from Mackris, and ran a "Save the Tapes" campaign. Olbermann has continued to feature the suit and its details in his comments on O'Reilly, specifically references to falafels and loofahs, which O'Reilly got confused while allegedly harassing Mackris.

In March 2006, O’Reilly dropped a caller from his live radio show, seemingly for mentioning Olbermann's name. O'Reilly accused the caller of being part of a larger group of individuals which had been calling O'Reilly with the sole purpose of mentioning Olbermann. The caller said "I like to listen to you during the day. I think Keith Olbermann..." when O'Reilly cut in, responding to "Mike" as follows:

23. Maybe it's one of those frenemies deals
where you're friendly enemies -- thus doubling the media attention through your "feud".
Only. I don't think Keith would play.
In fact, if those two ever see each other in person, Bill better keep his mouth shut or just cut and run.
Cause Keith would reduce old "street tough Irish kid O'Reilly" into a blithering, quivering...loofah.
