1. Irrelevant.

The NYT has proven itself unreliable and untrustworthy. With some exceptions, it's become a house organ for the neocons. It has become almost entirely irrelevant.

Let it wither on the vine until it throws off its present publisher and management, and grows a journalistic spine and some integrity.

3. I used to believe in The Times

Thought it was an institution that could be relied on to expose corruption and tell the truth, even if it had to spin it. But, the Iraq War and the Plame/OSP-AIPAC scandals have disabused me of those illusions.

I am sad to say.
