Rawstory:Times plans page one story on Clinton's marriage
Edited on Mon May-22-06 10:16 PM by cal04
"When the subject of Bill and Hillary Clinton comes up for many prominent Democrats these days, Topic A is their marriage, and how their relationship might affect Sen. Clinton's possible bid for the White House in 2008," the New York Times' Patrick Healy will report on page ones Tuesday, RAW STORY has learned.

The story is slated as the offlead story above the fold on the front page.
"Democrats say it is inevitable that, in a campaign that could return the former president to the White House, some voters would be concerned about Bill Clinton's political role and his potential for the kind of episodes that led the House to vote for his impeachment in 1998.

"The dynamics of a couple's marriage are difficult to gauge from the outside, even for a couple as well known as the Clintons. But interviews with some 50 people and a review of their respective activities show that since leaving the White House, Bill and Hillary Clinton have built largely separate lives -- partly because of the demands of their distinct career paths and partly as a result of political calculations.

"Some friends say that they do not notice any tension now, though they are not sure when, or how, it lifted.
"'Who knows how any couple conquers the issues in their marriage, but they did it,' said Chris Korge, a Democratic fund-raiser who is close to both Clintons. 'It's like when he bought her a new diamond ring recently, you just saw the look in her face. When someone shows you something like that, "This is what Bill bought me," kind of gleaming, it meant something to get it -- it meant more to her that he bought it for her than what it actually was.'"

1. We'll be busy following the trials of the Republican criminals.
I won't have time to pay attention to something so insignificant. The crimes that have been committed by the republicans will be taking center stage. Hopefully the Hague will have televised hearings.

3. And in Doing So The GOP Will In Fact Turn People Against Them
I don't want Hillary to even run, but seriously, this can't be allowed. Today it's Hillary. tomorrow it's Al Gore..... on and on. The cycle of shit must end.

THE Mainstream Media IS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR.

13. lol, here I'll add some drama too:
After 20 years of investigation, speculation, and pure conspiracy theorizing,
CNN has confirmed that Former President Clinton does not have a penis! :sarcasm:

This has sent the Republican Party into a frenzy. CNN has learned that Ken
Starr has been crying in his bathroom for hours. This "lack of penis" has
started, what can only be described as, the mother of all investigations into
what REALLY happened when America lost its innocence and most famous penis.
We'll be right back with...music..."The Case of the Missing Penis".

Other news of the day, 40 million without health-care, middle class virtually
wiped out, gasoline beyond affordable for most, average take home pay for families
is on the decline, more dead soldiers in Iraq, possible conflict with Iran. Republicans
control all levels of government, but we'll be keeping them honest by asking, "What
are the Democrats doing". Back to the Penis crisis affecting the US and your life.

6. Yes Bill and Hilary might have seprate paths ......
And it is called a private life ... both Bill & Hillary's.

Good Lord this is a non story pushed to be a story by the
same shits who gave us Ken Starr, Whitewater, stolen elections,
sleeping through 9-11 warnings, an unneeded war, missing white girls,
NSA spying = terrorist surveillance act, the war on terrorism,
Katrina response = state & local's fault, Abramoff is both repugs & dems,
tax cuts for the rich help everybody, the Duke rape case, everybody knew
that V. Plame was CIA, the media is liberal .........

That damn Clinton peace, prosperity, world respect, stopping al Qaeda's 1/1/2000 attack,
jobs, and so on. The right wing must crush him & Hillary .... the truth they can not
stand up to.

10. Pay Back for the "Globe" doing that little story about Laura and George
not speaking to each other over worries about the drinking Georgie's been doing.

They always pay back through their bought and sold media.

Next it will be Tipper and Al.

Notice no one touches Lynn and Dick.

7. Oh god, I'm so fucking sick of this whole "sanctity of marriage" crap...
I could :puke:.

Isnt it ironic that the people who are so for "sanctity of marriage" are the people who dont practice it themselves?

9. A successful man and a successful woman, each with their own careers.
People should quit expecting them to fit some model ascribed by the "family values" crowd.

They stayed together and worked through their problems, and raised an intelligent, successful daughter. What works for them is their business.

12. Rove & Cheney must be in trouble
They're having to do a Clenis story on the front page?

Digging up Jimmy Hoffa wasn't enough, nor was the blonde girl missing in Aruba.
