FL Republican leader calls on government to send money to catch gators.
This is Congressman Adam "Opie" Putnam, who is 5th in line of the Republican culture of corruption. He sees no irony in his beliefs that we should be able to drown government in a bathtub, and that they should send money to provide for more gator trappers.

Putnam Calls for Action on Gators

TAMPA -- Spurred by an unprecedented trio of fatal alligator attacks, U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam, R-Bartow, is calling for money to hire more trappers and clearer guidelines on when it is legal for residents to use lethal force against rogue reptiles.

Putnam attached a $500,000 "alligator abatement" amendment to a $26.9 billion Interior Department spending bill Thursday night, but he withdrew it after congressional leaders agreed to revisit the issue in the near future.

"We need to get more trappers out there to deal with nuisance alligators in Florida," Putnam said Friday. "The alligator population is growing, not diminishing. And the ability to deal with the increased threat has been diminished. There just aren't enough trappers to deal with the rising number of complaints."

Miami trapper Todd Hardwick said he welcomes additional money, but he'd rather see it spent on education instead of eradication.

I see so much irony here.

4. Must be a transplant, 'cuz he's not native.
If he wants to thin out the alligator numbers, all he has to do is sell hunting licenses by lottery. Dumb Republican. This one is a money maker for the government.

6. How about a $500,000 amendment to trap Republicans?
They have done far worse to Florida than any gator has.
