what happened to crooks and liars website?????

It could be a problem on my end I suppose but today when attempting to check the latest at www.crooksandliars.com
I now see a new site called ZIAspace... can someone else try and view their site and confirm this?
I am very disturbed!

.. I am hoping they are somehow affiliated with the site and maybe they forgot to pay a bill, re-new their DNS registration?

This can happen when a web site is down for some reason--you're automatically redirected to the site's hosting service. Croksandliars may be down temporarily for maintenance or the hosting company may be having its own problems.

Anyway, I hope that's all it is.

a site gets hacked. I've also seen it happen when the bills aren't paid.

have assumed that they help pay the bills..the ZiaSpace sight is bizarre and I was considering
calling the number they have listed and asking where the hell crooks and liars went...

which I was just about to ask.

My guess is, this Zia organization does C&L's web hosting, and either they think C&L is in arrears on their bill, or the NSA has seized the hard drives with C&L's data. So Zia has their own page up just to display *something* to browsers looking for the site. But that's just a guess.

I'd be interested in hearing this Zia "space music" stuff, but not interested enough to overcome my feeling that this misdirection is a tacky way to get publicity.

I tried to follow a link from Atrios, and I got a file not found error. So it looks like the whole site must be down.
