These tangential perception arguments are pretty ridiculous. People get so personal and for what? This Leopold/Rove thing is just absurd. Why are people arguing about a guy who wrote a story about something that no one else can really confirm at this point? The simplest and most effective way to find out the true outcome of Rove's trip to the grand jury is to just wait. There is no reason to argue, it maybe true, it may not be true, there is no way to verify it at this point. It's kind of like arguing over whether Schrodinger's cat is dead or alive.

I wonder if the hard feelings ever will. And, not just the hard feelings between those that have been actively involved, but by those that have been watching from the sidelines. You know, it is more than just Will's or TO's reputation that is taking hits here. It is the reputation of those that disagree with vicious snark may have created a following but lost the support of those not in their "cliche". As well as those that have supported with what has been called the "swoon factor" (I am not seeing that, but the snarky posters seem to see it), will be taken less seriously in the future too. I have already seen evidence of that in some of those thread with statements such as "Well you thought *fill in the blank* should never have happened either so ..." I think you get the drift. Lines are being drawn that, while forgiveness is possible, forgetting is getting to the point where it might just be impossible for both sides. That's really sad because we need each other now and in the future to work together to correct the mess we will have once this cabal is gone from power.

We have waited this long ... a few more days are easy comparatively.

I will always forgive and forget with any poster at any given second. To me each thread is its own animal, and any arguments in one thread shouldn't have any real bearing in reality. After all, it is just a message board.

I've had scathing disagreements with certain posters sometimes, and then the next day found myself giving a sincere toast to them. We're all fighting the same good fight here, and at the end of the day we should all be proud to be here and standing side by side with each other. I can only hope in the end of this all, and in the end of any other battle, other DU'ers will see things the same way and be as ready to forgive and forget. That capability can only make us stronger.
