Tweety just blamed Hilliary's stand on Iraq as the reason we're
still there, :wow: while talking to Jack Murtha. Unreal!

6. Because the Dems aren't demanding withdrawal, and the likes
of Hillary is part of the problem. One small problem; he never once mentioned who held majority votes in the Congress.:grr: :grr:

27. Even if we held the majority of votes in Congress it would be hard
to stop. If they ended the funding - Bush could still continue a while.

No smoke screen is too low to try. We've all seen this before. Someone may be willing to react and that gets them off the hook momentarily.

11. Murtha didn't correct him
Or say that the view of 3 or 4 Democrats isn't the view of the majority of the party. He could have, he should have, I don't know why he didn't.

20. Funny
Because I heard Murtha say that the reason Democrats support Bush is because they're worried the place will fall into chaos. Never mind the endless list of Democrats he could have named, he just chose not to. And that's a huge problem for the party.

15. Tweety also asked "Where are the demonstrations against the war?"
Talk about a jaw dropper. The awful thing is that Murtha said nothing. Doesn't he know about the mother's vigil in D.C. or the recent massive demo in NYC? Surely Matthews knows about them. He lies and Murtha says nothing because maybe he doesn't know.

it is why we are not having a serious discussion about getting out. He mention Senator Clinton a couple times, and other democratic leaders. He is, sadly, correct.

21. All the Dems should run on the anti war philosophy this fall.
But they are too afraid that if they are against the war, they will be pegged as being against the troops. Bush has much of the country convinced that if you are against the war you are unpatriotic. There are still many afraid to speak their mind until after the Nov. elections.

23. Yes, there are some Dem holdouts who still believe this war
is righteous for whatever reason. But even if the Dems spoke with one voice against the war, they still wouldn't be able to turn the tide because of their minority status. Matthews failed to mention that at all. I can only hope anyone watching is aware of that.

24. I'm from NYS.
I have campaigned and donated money to Hillary Clinton in the past. Because of her stance on the war, which does not reflect the beliefs of any democrats that I know (but which appears to be an attempt to court the republican vote) I will not donate a penny, or invest any time campaigning for her. I am going to support one of the anti-war candidates in the primary.

If Senator CLinton really believes in the war, she isn't a candidate I can support. If she is supporting the war for political gain, no one should support her. Just my opinion, of course.
