New Orleans flood recovery 'pretty dramatic' -Bush

<snip>

"I will tell you the contrast between when I was last here and today is pretty dramatic," said Bush, who last visited the stricken city on Oct. 10-11.

"New Orleans is reminding me of the city I used to come to visit," he added as he sat next to New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.

I would love to see the pics from those visits :-)

9. I think it's a rhetorical question in that
it's something science can never answer. :(

3. Did any one see Gov. Blanco at that press conference?
I only saw * and Nagan. Does * not like women? It looked like a boys club at that table.

7. Last I heard (1/10/06) she was in Europe, re: flood control

Governor Blanco stands with U.S. Sen. David Vitter, Sen. Mary Landrieu, Rep. William Jefferson and Melanie Schultz van Haegen, Vice Minister for Transport, Public Works and Water Management, at the opening seminar on Dutch Flood Control Protection Policy in The Hague on Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2006.

11. smart girl!
The Dutch are geniuses when it comes to flood control. They should be hired to fix those levees and restore the wetlands.

10. That must mean he's falling-down drunk again
Edited on Thu Jan-12-06 02:59 PM by KamaAina
That's about all today's city

most of which his handlers have studiously kept him away from, would have in common with the place where he used to go to be an obnoxious drunk who probably harassed women on the street.

edit: more graphic pix
