Tor + Skype
Does anyone know if onion routers (eg Tor) cause problems with VOIP progs (eg Skype)? They both tackle separate privacy issues, but I feel like there might be some problems here.

2. Doesn't this belong in the computer support forum?
You'll get more feedback that way, too.

3. That's a "group", not a "forum"
He's not a donor and cannot post to a group.

4. The only problem I would expect
would be lag time. I don't use Skype, but I have tried Tor, and the extra steps between me and the destination server cause a small but noticable delay. With web pages it is not a problem, but I would expect it to be a bit like some of those TV remote interviews where the lag time is a bit awkward, but otherwise fine. Maybe someone who has both can do a test and see if there is any other problem, but based on my limited understanding, the packet delay would be an inconvenience only.

I imagine adding Tor wouldn't help Skype, even if it's better than voip____

7. What I meant was,
Tor often changes your country of origin at websites that have region-sensitive input. Would this have an effect on Skype if you had a dedicated Skype number?
