A lot of DUers think they are slamming Blitzer by using the "Leslie" moniker.

Fact is, folks, this was a joke created by none other than Al Franken in his book "Rush Limbaugh Is A Big Fat Idiot". Franken hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner early in the Clinton years, and came up with the 'Leslie Blitzer' joke as a way of making fun of the German machismo of his REAL name, Wolfgang Blitzer.

Blitzer DOES suck as a journalist, but critiquing his name instead of his credentials is a dead-end. He laughed at the joke when Franken made it, and he would laugh at us if he read that this is what we call him in a desperate attempt to mock him.

The joke is on us for falling for it.

and replacing it with the dish.... there are at least some progressive sources on the dish network and, if I recall correctly, the basic package doesn't even include Fox news.

this is also why I am switching from XM to Sirius...... I will not support the new fox line up at 168 (one digit removed from AAR at 167). Plus, I still don't like the morning line up on AAR (Rachael is just too 'dem-lite' for me). And I can still get it on my computer if I want to listen to Randi.

FSTV is way up there in the 9000 range channels, but it's on Dish's basic package, as is Comedy Central (For John & Stephen). FuxNooz is in the "top 100" package which is a higher price.

I've had Dish for 6 years, no intention of switching to anybody else.
